Below is a list of travel blogs that I enjoy (WIP):

Travel Blogs

Almost Fearless -  Christine, along with husband Drew and baby Cole, shows that it is possible to create a life that works for you, even if it is unconventional and sometimes a little scary.

Bacon is Magic - Ayngelina's blog is the travel resource for South American solo female travel. She also has a weird obsession with bacon.

Everything, Everywhere - Travelling since March 2007, Gary's daily photo update brightens my day with beautiful pictures of faraway places.

Fevered Mutterings - Mike catalogues his misadventures in what he calls "the art of unfortunate travel". Witty and sometimes a little random, but always incredibly entertaining.

Freedonia Post - Joel shares stories, photos and random thoughts from his round-the-world trip that started in July 2010. By his own admission, he's an 'introverted attention whore, which makes for some interesting situations along the way'.

Gill Adventures - Eva and John Gill, along with their daughters, have taken a gap-year to explore the world. Not fans of contrived destinations, they like finding unique experiences and believe that travel is about exploration. Their site contains some beautiful pictures!

Girl, Unstoppable - Ekua shares her stories and thoughts, gives travel advice and tips, and inspires others (especially females) to be audacious adventurers.

Go, See, Write -  Former attorney Michael Hodson has circumnavigated the globe without ever getting on an airplane. Currently writing about Middle Eastern countries we'd all love to visit, his blog is also home to the Lucky 13 interviews with other travel bloggers.

Heather on her travels - Heather takes you with her to meet the people, taste the food and experience the sights and sounds she came across along the way. Her site also contains some fabulous tips on travel blogging.

Legal Nomads - A former lawyer from Montreal, Jodi is currently eating her way around the world, one country at a time. Traveling since 1 April 2008.

One Giant Step - Gillian and her partner, Jason, set out on a round the world trip in 2009. Back now, her blog not only gives useful advice on how to plan for such a trip, but also on how to deal with returning to everyday life and how to keep challenging yourself to live outside your comfort zone.

So Many Places - Kim and Brian are in the process of selling all their stuff and quitting their jobs to set out on a round the world adventure sometime in early 2012.

Travels With Two - Melanie gives travel advice geared specifically towards couples who know exactly how much vacation time they have every year, and plan to use it. Her site also features some wonderful travel photography.

Travel Wonders of the World - Mark has visited every continent and has travelled to over 80 countries. His blog describes the most memorable locations.

What's Dave Doing - Being born and raised in small town New Zealand provided Dave with the perfect beginnings for a lifelong travel addiction.

Travel Networks
BootsnAll Independent Travel - A travel network community, not only featuring some very interesting articles, but also providing tools to help one find cheap flights, travel deals, insurance and all sorts of other handy hints and tips.

Matador Travel - An independent media company where you can research your next destination by reading travel blogs and articles, peruse photos and socialise with other like-minded adventurers.

Useful Sites

Nikita Guesthouse is a highly recommended B&B situated in Springs in the East Rand of Gauteng, SA, which offers great personal service and a delicious traditional Boere breakfast.
